To Find A Unicorn

Dating has been like trying to find a unicorn for a woman such as myself-a seemingly impossible and highly improbable feat among the strange and wild land of online dating…not to mention the entire male species.  I still marvel whenever I think about how so many people over millennia have not only found one another, but have decided to go the long haul together. I mean, people start dating every day, even during a world-wide pandemic! If history is any indicator, the odds of meeting someone should be ever in my favor!  And yet as a woman among millions that is looking for that one person to love and be loved by, I can only hope and pray my unicorn is in fact a dream realized, walking around this planet. Have you ever heard the saying words are just words, until they’re not? Because in all reality, words create worlds. Whether they are make believe worlds we read about or belief systems we navigate our inner worlds with, words have a powerful effect in and through us. If you’re reading this, then you might be wondering why someone like me would name a company Lindsayrella Designs. And if you are willing to embark on a journey through my world, I’ll share a chapter in a few words… My name is Lindsay or to some, “Lindsayrella” (think Cinderella…) thanks to a friend who jokingly bestowed this nickname upon me, but it stuck. Why? Because it resonated deep inside of me. I hadn’t thought of myself as that special, but a simple nickname-a word-had the ability to awaken my heart with the truth of who I was in an instant.
