Crossroads

Crossroads

On a mid-October day
I found your gaze
Inviting me to see
What could be

Now it’s mid-July
And your picture adorns my wall
Reminding me of this present place

I am here and-
You are afar off
Oh, what could have been

Then he directed me in
Watching my every move
Surprising me with
What could be

Standing at the crossroads
My heart dreams
Of what could be

Waiting for a sign
That will lead me
Down the road marked
What is to come

Standing on this road
Is the one
That could be, would be
And will be

*This poem has a twofold meaning. You can take it literally like waiting for a man or a woman for most people desire a spouse. However, it is also an analogy of Christ. He captures the attention of many before they realize that he is more than a picture on a wall, more than an idea, more real and close than they can imagine. And then He begins to show up in greater measures and they begin to realize He's near. God is the one standing on the path saying I am the answer to everything if only you will come. It's an invitation to salvation and an invitation to dream.

If history is any indicator, the odds of meeting someone should be ever in my favor!  And yet as a woman among millions that is looking for that one person to love and be loved by, I can only hope and pray my unicorn is in fact a dream realized, walking around this planet. Because, I tell you the journey is not for the faint of heart when you are a Christian woman living in a modern world.  Despite what we may feel insecure about-our current circumstances, what someone would think about what we do for a living, our religious beliefs or the impe

You Are Good

I am letting go No more holding on For I know You are good Oh, so good Because you are good I can rest in peace Reside in joy Float upon love Because you are so good I am letting go No more holding on For I know you are good Oh, so good I look only to you In your gaze I can walk on water And dream with possibilities  I am letting go No more holding back For I know you are good Oh, so good The past, the present, the future These belong unto thee Cause I am coming into the promise That you are good Let's Connect!
